Here are all the instructions for making this simple 3 pocket mini album.
Instructions
Take 3 pieces of patterned paper and 2 matching pieces of card stock. These will be your pages. Take one and trim to 10". Score it in half.
Next trim the other side to 9.5". Score one side at 1/2" and the other side at 2.5". Use a bone folder to crease firmly all score lines.
On the 2.5" side, cut down the 5" score line until you get to the 2.5" line.
Repeat on the other side but this time trim of one side of the 1/2" fold. On the remaining 1/2" piece trim the corners on a diagonal.
Now fold the page in half down the 5" line. Add adhesive to the 1/2" flap and a little to the inside (fold edge) of the 2.5" flap.
Making sure the top pocket is actually at the top, you should have two flaps on the left. Fold back the top one, and add a little glue along the outside edges. Stick down. This is a side pocket.
Repeat with the remaining 4 pieces of 12 x 12" until you have all your pages.
Next start to bind the pages together. Fold the remaining flap towards the front. Stick the long backs of each page together. The flap that is folded forward is then used to stick to the other page and adhered with glue on the edges so another pocket is formed.
Decorate your covers. You will have a spare flap on the assembled pages to stick to the cover but you wont have for the back. Make a piece measuring 5 x 5" and score in half. Glue half to the last page and half to the back cover. I didn't make the front and back ones into pockets, kept them solid for more security.
I added additional papers and CS to the pages for decoration as well as decorative edges along the pockets. I used a circle punch to cut half circles in the top pockets before adding bigger tags to finish.
Decorate the front cover with pattern paper and CS off cuts before adding journalling cards, bling, twine and flowers. I cut a piece of CS at 5 x 5". This will act as the spine. I marked it at 2" from both sides. I score the middle 1" section. Wrap it around the spine and secure with strong adhesive or glue.
And this is your album finished. Mine is just perfect for our first weekend of sunshine, lol
