Good Morning Bubblers!
This week at Bubbly scrumptious, the DT are having a bit of a product focus. Join us as we focus on the lovely Maya Road Coaster albums and NEW ink and embossing pads from ecogreen crafts.
It will be exciting to see what different things each DT produce with their different albums and ink pads.
The coaster book i've used is the cute apple shaped one...and i've used it to create a home for all my favourite autumn apple recipes.
Ingredients:
Maya Road apple coaster minibook
Eco~Green Exquisite Embossing inkpad
Prima glittered chipboard shape
Method:
First off i covered all the pages of my coaster book with Prima papers and used a craft knife to cut the out exactly to size. When i'd covered both sides, i swiped the Eco~Green Exquisite inkpad all arounnd the edges and heat set the ink. Next, i embellished the front cover with a couple of pieces of the Prima branch, overlapping one of the leaves with the leaf shape on the coaster. On tope of this i added a Prima chipboard shape, a Tim Holtz ticket and some Petaloo florettes which i had used the same inkpad on, then embossed with clear UTEE. I also tinted the ticket with the Eco~Green dye based inkpad to tone it with the rest of my project.
The inside pages were more simple. I covered them with Prima paper and inked all the edges again, but this time i overlayed some notepaper to write my recipes on, and some alphabet stickers to create the recipe titles.
I used dye based ink again with the Prima stamp to add a little embellishment to the inner pages and to tie in the colours of the pp. Finally, i used a Cropadile to remake the holes in the apple's stalk and replaced the little chain to hold the whole thing together.
I hope you've liked my ideas and will give one of these cute minibooks a try...and don't forget to pop back all week long to see what my DT friends have created with their books!
Happy crafting...
