Morming all,
Today's project is a step by step...so not too many words...i'm hoping the photos speak for themselves! lol let me know if you have questions tho!! ;0)
Ingredients:
Prima Melody Collection patterned papers {i've used two sets so i had two of each pp}
Ribbon
Step 1
Cut out your cardstock. You will need 6 pieces that are 12"x4", 6 pieces that are 10"x4" and 6 pieces that are 8"x4". Score and fold each of these in half as shown below:
Step 2
Use a wet glue to assemble each page with one piece of cardstock in each size. Be generous with the glue but only glue the very edges to create the effect shown below:
Step 3
Now stack the pages to create a book, making sure all your pages are pointing in the same direction...and glue together with a wet glue.
Step 4
Use a couple of pegs to hold the pages while the glue dries to ensure a good finish when you come to open your starbook.
Step 5
Cut two covers from chipboard or cardboard 6"x4" each. Cover one side of each with pp leftovers from the Step 1. Turn them over and run a line of ribbon across both covers leaving about 1/2" ribbon loose between the covers and secure with strong adhesive tape. Trim the tails to whatever length you choose...enough to tie a good bow! Glue your stacked pages inside the covers using a wet glue and making sure that they open in the right direction! ;0)
Step 6
When the glue is fully dry...open your book and tie a bow to reveal a beautiful Prima star!!
Step 7
Simply decorate your book as you choose...i've added some beautiful Wedding photos matted onto more pp from the Melody collection and a sprinkling of Petaloo flowers.
And that's it...although the star of this album has to be the children, right? :)
Thanks of taking time to check out our blog and i do hope you'll give this style of album a go...its much easier than you might think...and makes a superb gift to boot!
