Here are all the instructions and ingredients to make this layout.
How to:
The first technique for this layout is making paper cathedral windows. Begin by cutting 16 circles from the prima patterned paper. Mine measure around 3" so you can get 4 from a single piece of paper. Square of the edges, distress with ink
Line them up on the kraft card stock, 4 x 4. Secure with strong adheasive
Now its time for another technique, gutting. Cut around the cathedral windows as close as possible. Distress and ink the edges.
Next trim the inner frame that is left over by about 1/4". Distress and ink the edges. Add a piece of lilac card stock to the back of the frame.
Insert the cathedral window panel back into the frame.
Next its time for our last technique, pleated paper borders. Cut a piece of 12 x 12 into 2" strips. Score at 1/4" then another 3/4", then another 1/4" and 1/2". Repeat all the way along. Bend into a chunky pleat.
You will need to secure, either with a humongo type adheasive or a sewing machine
Attach to the layout. Add ribbon over the time before adding you photo's over the top.
Next cut out some large blooms from a patterned paper. Mix in smaller blooms from the prima pad. Add them with foam pads for depth. Add some ornate journal spots from the prima pad before finishing with a kraft alphabet title.
And there you go, lots of new techniques for you to have a play with.
