Last year i happened across a project by Sarah Youde in Creative Cardmaking whilst flicking through my sisters old mags. I immediately knew what i could turn mine into. But imagine my disappointment when i find my sister had "collage" the template. So i went and Sarah's website and was made up to find a set of templates and a very cool video showing you how to construct the box.
You can find all Sarah's info HERE.
I wanted my theme to be based around the circus as i had hundreds of photo's from when i went to see Take That a few years ago and the shape of the album yelled big top to me. And when Caroline sent me some Tando balloons, they just cried out to go on the album. I also wanted a vintage/ steampunk theme as that was how the Take That concert was produced.
Ingredients
Patterned paper. I used Rusty Pickle
Digital banner by Squiggle stamps
Digital kits-Circus Royale (very steampunky) and Old Scrap Circus
Promarkers- Autumn
Instruction
Watch the video on how to construct the exploding mini album. Use Sarah's template to make all the parts.
Once constructed its just a case of decorating. I selected my chosen digital elements and printed them out before attaching with foam pads all around the box.
I repeated this with my card balloons. I then used my promarkers to colour in the chipboard balloons and attached them.
Next i printed out my banner and again coloured it in with my promarkers again before attaching to the lid.
Once you have decorated the outside, add all your pics to the inside
And there you go, a mini album with a difference. And look how many pictures you can get in it. You can even do the back of the internal flaps as well.
Happy Creating
Sarah
