I have at last got around to using some of the Tando Creative Chipboard shapes that Caroline sent me. I have used this one to make a little fridge magnet. I must admit I had no idea where this was going when I started it. I just started it as being blue, and it went from there when I saw the quote on the Paper Artsy Stamp sheet I have used.
I first painted it with viva Decor Inka gold, then stamped on the quote. I then swooshed some Viva Decor Croco crackling colour round the edges bringing it into frame the quote, I then used alcohol ink direct from the bottle to add colour variations. I then blasted it with a heat gun to dry it.
Umm now what I thought. Then I spied some wire left on my desk from a previous project and decided to wind this around the shape using the little sticky out bits to hold it in place. I then added three layers of clear embossing powder to give it a nice glaze and help hold all the wire in place.
The chipboard bird is a maya road one. I applied a very thick coat of viva croco and then dipped it in clear embossing powder so when it was heated instead of crackling it bubbles and pops giving a nice lumpy texture. I then reheated the embossing layer on the chipboard piece, putting the bird in place before it all set so it was held in the melted embossing powder.
The flower I made from the same silver wire adding a blob of glossy accents in the middle with a spot of alcohol ink on it to colour it.
