Here are all the instructions on how to make these really sophisticated christmas decorations.
Ingredients
- Old paper back book
- Polystyrene shapes, Half ring, ball and cone
- Hot glue gun
- Pearls or dimensional pearls
- Brushed Corduory distress ink
Instructions
I was inspired to create these decorations after watching a you tube video. Check it out below.
So i quickly rustled up a wreath.
Followed by a bauble
Then i tried a christmas tree but it wasn't working as the flowers were too big.
So i began by cutting the book pages into smaller pieces. I had full sized pages, half sized and quarter. THis produced large, medium and tiny flowers. Keep the 3 sizes separate.
Take a polystyrene cone and cover with strips of book page. Leave to dry.
Take your large flowers and begin to stick the around the cone.
Work your way up the cone, decreasing the size of flower as you go.
Once you reach the top and are finished, begin to add the pearls to the inside of the flowers. I added a gold star to the top to finish.
I found it very relaxing making my flowers. I made about 200 over a few days.
