Hello Bubblies...brrrrr are you as cold as me?
It's not that I am complaining because I love the snow and I love this time of year I just don't like being cold....so last night I brought my stash of pizza boxes (for those not in the know-No there isn't any 12inch Ham & Pineapple Stuffed Crust in them!!) into the lounge and sat in front of the fire merrily making some Tussie Mussies.
In Victorian times a Tussie Mussie was made to hold a bouquet of flowers- it's meaning is:
- A small bouquet of flowers; a nosegay.
- A cone-shaped holder for such a bouquet.
In modern times they can easily be made to hold anything from sweets, marshmellows, candy canes, to small soaps and candles.....in fact anything thats little and a bit awkward to wrap could easily be covered in cellophane and popped into one of these cones and hung on the tree.
This months kit includes tags that you can write names on with a silver or gold pen, beads and tassels can be threaded through the bottom of the cone and left to hang like a chandelier in the candle light......in fact you can make these as simple or as complicated as you wish.
I just used up whatever I had to hand; some of the Fancy Pants papers and Prima flowers were from last months lovely Magical Wishes kit because it has that beautiful warm Mulberry colour in it that matches the Websters lace trim so well.
The trims from the Violette Wings kit are simply divine and are perfect for Vintage projects like these along with the pretty elements that can be so easily cut from the great quality cardstock that Websters are printed on.
