Embossed Butterfly by Caroline

To create the butterfly wall hanging I used the following items available from Bubbly Funk:

Maya Road Butterfly Coaster - front cover is embossed

Maya Road Mist - Carnation Pink

Stickles Glitter

Additional items used:  ribbon, gems, flower, butterfly die-cut, plaque die-cut, keyhole, sentiment

First of all I sprayed the butterfly with Maya Mist.  I keep a box just for this purpose to avoid getting the spray anywhere else!  I find Maya Mist has excellent coverage and only three or four sprays were required to completely cover the butterfly with this gorgeous pink colour.

 

Its darker when wet and dries lighter.  If you prime the chipboard first you achieve a different colour again.

Cover the embossed bits of the chipboard with Stickles.  Leave to dry.

Then add the other embellishments.
