I firstly coloured a piece of strong card using Distress Stains in shades of Fired Brick and Wild Honey. I used them directly onto a craft mat spritzing them with water to blend them before swooshing the card around on the mat until I was happy with the coverage.
I cut a piece of the card to size before stamping my image onto it. I stamped the main image again onto plain white card and I coloured this using some of the remaining colour on my craft mat for the dress and hat and Claudine Hellmuth paints for the rest of the image.
I applied some distress stain in Antique Linen to a piece of Ruler Ribbon before attaching it to the piece of card. I then stitched around the edge using a sewing machine.
Using my bind it all, I made it into a note book, I stuck some buttons from my stash onto the bottom corner, stained some lavish trimming with the remains of the distress stains on my craft mat, respritzing it as it had dried, cutting the trim up when dry and tying it to the bind it all coil. The small dangle I made from my bead stash but the Tim Holtz Baubles from the shop would be great for this.
A great little pad to use yourself or to give as a gift.
