Another Friday already! I don't know where this year is whizzing off to! Anyways... I have been playing with my Melting Pot this week and been making some Faux Porcelain flowers and butterflies.
I started this project by painting a little wooden shadow box with Traditional Tan paint and then used Cranberry and Espresso Dabber to accent the box. I then used Vintage Photo Distress Ink and blended this onto the surface and heat dried it... this gives it a nice warm aged look.
The Faux Porcelain items were made by popping Clear UTEE granules into the Melting Pot and once this was molten, dipping roses into it. I cut the butterflies using the Movers & Shapers Butterfly Alterations dies and edging them with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink... these were then dipped into the Melting Pot and once they had hardened, I popped some little pearls on for the body. The sentiment is stamped onto cardstock coloured with more Vintage Photo, stamped with black Archival for the sentiment and Crimson for the little sprig background. Finally, I used Gold Dabber to accent the edges of the box and added little Hitch Fasteners to the base to make feet.
The Ingredients used are:
Dabbers - Cranberry, Espresso and Gold
Claudine Hellmuth Traditional Tan paint
Distress Inks - Vintage Photo & Aged Mahogany
Archival Inks - Crimson and Black
Movers & Shapers Alterations Die - Butterflies
Melting Pot is available instore at Bubbly Funk, Charles House, Charles Street, Worcester, WR1 2AQ.
Thanks for looking... have a fab weekend! TTFN
