a Christmas box...by Alix

Hello again Bubblers...

alix here again with another Christmas project!  This time a Christmas box...handy for giving a little gift or two...or as I've done for storing your Christmas recipes!

 

Ingredients:

Christmas papers by Echo Park

Stickles

Ranger paint dabber

a box...mine was a Twynings tea container ;0)

 

Method:

Cut up your chosen papers into pieces just smaller than every side of your box and adhere with glue.  When the glue has dried...add a generous dabbing of paint all along the edges and dry with a heat gun to emphasise the texture.  {If you don't get enough texture the first time...add more paint and heat gently again.}

 

Embellish all the sides {the top of the box is shown below} with the matching stickers from the set...and add spots of Stickles for extra sparkle.  Leave this to dry.

Now, you could leave your box as it is and use it as a gift box...or you could use the leftover pp's and stickers from the kit to create recipe cards to go inside as i've done...

And there you have it...a simple but pretty and useful idea to get your Christmas prep underway!

No mouse this week but its definatly going to be a clock.

Caroline sent me this fab little wooden clock blank to alter.

I have done it as a two part project and this is what I have done this week.

Morning!  Finally!!!! I am sooo excited!!!! I am indeedily excited because... I have finally managed to make a scrapbook layout... it has only taken me three weeks to get this one completed... erm.. think I will have to speed up the process, somehow!  Anyways... to see it and how I made it etc ... please...click HERE.

Hello and Welcome to another Thursday here on Bubbly Scrumptious.  I'm sure by now you're sick of seeing my word book - which is still a work in progress - after all I've never said I was a speedy crafter, have I?
