Hi there,
When i first saw these trees i just immediately wanted to create simply hanging decorations from them and its an idea that works with other shapes too. I'm sure you'll have done something similar at school {those of you who can remember that far back ;0) }.
Ingredients:
Maya Road Christmas Tree Coaster Album
Method:
The simple key to making these flat trees into 3~D ones is to cut a small {2mm} slit from the top to the middle of one, and the bottom to the middle of another, so you can slot them together. Easy, huh? This works really well with all symmetrical shapes...think circles for baubles, hearts and stars, etc.
Once you've cut the slits, spray your trees on both sides with the Color Wash spray and dry gently with heat gun.
Next place your Prima mask along the centre of the tree and using some foam blend Distress Ink all over the tree. When you remove the mask you will reveal the pattern :0) Heat set this gently and repeat on both sides of the tree.
Next, assemble the trees by sliding the pieces together and then brush Distress Stickles liberally all over every side and leave to dry.
When its all dry, add a ribbon or string to hang the tree through the hole at the top...and dangle somewhere festive! ;0)
