The paper roses used in the page kit LO are very simple to make. Thanks to Dyan for instructions.
Take the left over frame from the chipboard flower from the kit. Use it as a template and draw 3 flowers onto some PP.
Cut them out. If you want them inked and distressed with sand paper, do it now.
Take one flower and cut a slit to the middle. Overlap one petal behind another and glue. It should resemble a cone shape. Use little craft pegs or paper clips to keep fastened. Bend out each petal to add depth.
Next cut out one whole petal from another flower and fold and glue as you did with flower one. Retain the cut out petal.
Next cut two petals out from the last flower and fold and glue as before. Retain the cut outs as before.
Excuse my messy craft mat!
Take the single petal and fold in half before rolling to form a bud. Glue and secure with pegs. Repeat with the second cut petal but don’t coil as tight and leave to dry.
Once each flower is dry, cut off each point from the cones. This will allow the flowers to fit flat on your LO’s.
Now its time to assemble.
Start by placing each layer into each other. Secure with wet glue and pegs. Gently insert both buds and again glue.
And that’s it, done. You can drop little beads around the buds, add glitter to the edges of each petal or add leaves under each flower.
