O Christmas Trees!...by Vicky

 

I'm still in a Christmas mood this week.  Sorry to those readers who feel it's still a bit early!

I've been making decorations and in the spirit of the moment - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle -  rather than buying, them I've been making them.  I stumbled across this great project idea on You Tube - Magazine Christmas Trees. 

 

Once you've made one you'll be hooked like me, I've made 4 already!  Great to make front of the TV! :)

Homemade stencils and ghosts......by Sarah

This week I have been playing around with chipboard waste to make my own stencils to use with a few paint techniques.

 Materials Required

• Various chipboard waste, especially alphabets. I used old basic grey, Grungeboard and rusty pickle alphabet waste and the waste from a set of cork embellishments from Pink Paisley. You can use sequin waste, garden mesh as well for alternative designs.
• Gel medium
• Old paintbrush
• Heat gun
• Heatproof mat
• Spray inks such as Cosmic shimmerz, Tim Holtz stains in a mister, Dylusionals, Tattered Angels, Maya road
• Water
• Mini Misters
• Masks
• Kitchen roll

Crackle effect project: Mobile by Sarah

This week i have made a hanging mobile using the crackle technique i showed you last week in a inspirational video.

 

 

Ingredients

• Maya Road chipboard Album, Fancy Bird album
• Claudine Hellmuth paints
• Patterned paper, Crate Paper and K & Co
• Ribbon
• Buttons
• Crate Paper Embellishments
• Prima Flowers
• Maya Road Kraft Doileys
• Black Stazon
• Distress Ink- Walnut Ink
• Chipboard blanks
• Fabric Material
• Claudine Hellmuth Gel medium
• Hot glue gun
• PVA Glue
• Large chipboard alphabets and numbers
• Strong DS tape such as red line tape.
• Chipboard Hearts, or die cut template to make hearts.
• Tim Holtz tissue tape

Bubblyfunking all over the place!

It doesn't feel like a Monday today!  I spent most of the weekend joining in with the UKS Cybercrop.  It was entitled 'A Scrappy Little Christmas' and all the classes had a Christmas theme.  I wasn't sure, but actually it was great because I scrapped all my photos from last Christmas, and am all ready for this year's influx of Christmas photos :)  My aim was to to use a Bubbly Funk product or two on every LO that I did, and I reckon I pretty much managed that too.  So here are a few to share .  The first one was a lift from a LO by Katharyn Brine:

For this one I used the Maya Road chipboard stocking, covered in felt, and some Maya Road red mist.

One of my favourite LOs of the weekend was a class called 'Be You' by Karen that involved masking.  For this one I used more mists and some Viva Decor Croco Azure to lift the title and some of the snowflakes.  The snowflakes are Maya Road by the way and the title is Maya Road Jonathan :) 
So tell me, are you good at scrapping your photos as you go along or do you have photos from last winter that you still need to do? 

Prima Hairband... By Katy

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well.  Today I have something exciting to share with you, I have made a lovely Prima hairband using some of the fabric flowers I had.  Caroline has some stunning flowers in the Prima ranges so go and pick some prettys!
