Morning Bubblies!
This week I have a card to share with you. As you'll see mine I made for Mothers' Day, but by changing the text it would make a lovely spring Birthday card or just a general "Hello", so don't feel limited by the fact that Mothers' Day has been and gone!
To make the card is simple. Firstly distress the edges of the blueish paper with scissors or a distressing tool, and layer this onto a 6 1/2 inch square of Core'dinations cardstock which you have sanded all around the edges. Layer this onto a cardbase made from yellow Core'dinations cardstock which you have cut to 7 inches by 10 1/2 inches to create a half fold on the front. Again sand all around the egdes. Be careful not to stick the front panel so that the card won't open! ;0)
Using a printer, print your message onto copier paper, and when you are happy with the positioning, simply use some low tack tape to adhere the patterned paper over the text and run through your printer again. Trim this to size and distress the edges. Layer this over the bluey panel.
To create the flower centre~piece, cut a piece of the green Core'dination with the largest part of the Tattered Florals die and sand the edges. Fold the petals in half to create dimension. Layer onto this a Sweet Taffy flower and a wooden button and stitch together with embroidery floss. Glue this to the front of your card and add a few gems to finish.
As your card is 7 x 7 inches and not a standard size, you might like to do what I did with mine and wrap it in tissue paper and tie with a matching ribbon and tag. I do this alot as it feels like a present and a card in one!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like the card...but most of all I hope all you Mothers out there had a wonderful day and were spoilt rotten! :-)
