Tando Creative DT - Autumn Colours Canvas

The theme for the Tando Creative DT this week is Autumn Colours.

I love Autumn.  It's my favourite season where its usually decent weather, not too hot and not too cold, and the foliage changes and you get to see some glorious colours in nature.  And I also celebrate my birthday in October!  Although maybe not too much celebrating the older I get, haha.

Anyway, I've had a little pack of hardboard canvases forever and a day and I finally cracked open the packaging and worked with one!

The Tando Tree and Leaves stencil by Kaz Boughton was ideal for this theme and fitted the canvas perfectly.

I used Distress Inks for the main colours and used a little Viva Decor Glitter Gel to add texture for some of the leaves and a few little apples.  I also used a little leaf stamp to add dimension to the tree and grass.

I enjoyed creating this little canvas and I am thinking it might be one of four - one for every season.  I have visions of all four going together on a larger canvas, but we will see.  I might get round to it one day!
