This is a gorgeous banana bread recipe, of which I have tried a few. The addition of cocoa powder and chocolate chips makes this even more moreish and it is truly a very moist and chocolatey banana bread. Very delicious indeed.
Have I sold it enough?! lol

This recipe makes one loaf tin, although I doubled the amount and made two loaves because one just didn't seem enough. Just as well I did make two because one has almost gone and I only made it yesterday afternoon. Doesn't help that when anyone has a slice they are doorstop size. :)

You either love peanut butter or you hate it (a bit like marmite) - I used to hate it, but now I love it! With my kids loving peanut butter too I thought I would give these cupcakes a try and I'm glad I did as they were delicious...

This recipe makes about 12 generous cupcakes.

The dates in these flapjacks make for a wonderfully moist and moreish treat...

This is using quite a large amount of ingredients to make a thick flapjack. If you don't have a very large pan then split the ingredients in half and do two lots separately as they are halved and separated by the date mixture anyway.

*2014*
I know we are well over a week into the new year but its the first chance I've had to be able to say that I wish you all a wonderful new year ahead, and that all your dreams and aspirations for 2014 come true!!

Now I know you are probably all sick of mince pies by now but for a change I am not....and its because of this lovely recipe I found for sweet pastry and the addition of chocolate chunks to the mince! I did enjoy eating them, so I thought I'd share the recipe with you while you can get reduced jars of mince in the supermarkets. Much cheaper that full price, obviously, but you may as well stock up because it last for ages. The mince I bought lasts well into 2015. I buy any basic mince and then add some extras to plump it up a bit. Or you can make it from scratch but to be honest while its reduced its probably cheaper to buy ready made.
Makes about 18-24 mince pies, depending on how big your cutter is.
