Tando Creative DT - Hanging Heart

This was my introductory post for Tando Creative a couple of weeks ago using one of their wonderful stencils!

I used the Bird and Branch Tando Creative stencil, and here is how I made it!

Home Decor - Cushion - Just Kiss Me

It was recently my partners birthday, and its always difficult finding something for him because he always says he doesn't want anything.   I thought I would make a home decor item, something individual, original and just for him and his home...so I made him this cushion!

The cushion cover measure approx 17" x13" and is made from natural calico, zipped at the top, and the letters are felt and embroidered.  The cushion pad is filled with duck feathers for a luxurious finish.  It was very gratefully received, thankfully.  Phew!

Handmade - Beaded Heart, Personalised

Here is a wall hanging  I just made for a 25th wedding anniversary...I really enjoyed designing and making this... :)

The letters are the initials of their first names and you can see the number 25 in the heart for the 25 years.  I wanted to make it subtle with the '25' being the same colour as the background so that the hanging wasn't over-whelmed with two much to see at a quick glance.

Made from natural calico and quality cotton fabric the wall hanging is slightly padded. All beads are applied by hand - not a quick job but I do love the effect so its worth the extra time!
